Wooden Barn Quilt Art

Join artist Miranda Antony on Thursday, July 24th from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. at the Yellow Medicine County Fair for a creative and colorful barn quilt painting workshop. Learn how to design and paint your own wooden barn quilt art.  All materials are provided and no prior experience is needed.  This event is open to participants ages 10 through adult

This hands-on DIY wood painting class is perfect for anyone who loves folk art, quilting designs, or rustic home décor.

Jewelry Making

Discover the art of handmade jewelry at the Yellow Medicine County Fair! Join instructor Jayne Sik from Earrings Delight and More on Thursday, July 24th from 6 - 8 p.m. for a hands-on jewelry-making workshop.

Learn how to create your own custom jewelry using professional techniques and quality materials. This interactive DIY jewelry class is perfect for beginners and craft enthusiasts alike.  All supplies are provided.  Don't miss this chance to create beautiful, one-of-a-kind jewelry pieces to keep or gift!

Mushroom Felting

Join us at the Yellow Medicine County Fair for a hands-on needle felting workshop led by fiber artist Suzanne Fairchild on Thursday, July 24th from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.

In this creative class, you'll learn the basics of needle felting while crafting your own felted mushroom sculpture. This craft is perfect for beginners and craft lovers.  All supplies are provided 

Come explore this unique fiber art technique and leave with a handmade creation!

Friday, July 25th

Refrigerator Magnets

Get creative at the Yellow Medicine County Fair with Angie Guptill of Guptill Pottery and Fine Arts on Friday, July 25th during this hands-on ceramic glazing workshop! You'll get to glaze your own custom refrigerator magnets and after glazing, your pieces will be professionally fired in Angie’s pottery kiln
This is great for all ages and no experience is needed. 
This unique DIY pottery activity is a fun way to explore ceramic art and take home a personalized magnet made by you!

Leather Keychain Painting

Get creative at the Yellow Medicine County Fair with Angie Guptill of Guptill Pottery and Fine Arts on Friday, July 25th from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. in a fun, hands-on leather keychain painting activity! Pick your favorite farm animal and paint it in any color—how about a purple pig with yellow spots? Want to add your family cattle brand to an ear tag? You can do that too! This DIY keychain painting workshop is a great way for kids and adults to explore creativity and make something truly personal. This event is open to ages 5 through adult; children under 5 welcome with adult assistance and all supplies are provided

Join us for a fun and creative evening with Jackie J's Signs and Crafts on Friday, July 25th from 5-7 p.m. Paint your very own custom home décor sign—perfect for adding a personal touch to your space or giving as a unique handmade gift.

Saturday, July 26th

Watercolor Barn Art

Join Angie Guptill of Guptill Pottery and Fine Arts on Saturday, July 26th from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m. at the Yellow Medicine County Fair for a relaxing and creative watercolor painting class. Learn how to sketch and paint a rustic barn scene using watercolor and ink. Angie will guide you step-by-step through the drawing and painting process/ Prefer not to draw? Pre-sketched barn images are available upon request at registration.  This beginner-friendly barn watercolor workshop is perfect for kids and adults alike. Open to ages 5 and up and all supplies are included.  This is a great way to experience rural art and express creativity at the fair!

Giddy up for a morning of horsemanship as talented 4-Hers compete in riding and handling events.

Bring in your best baking, crafts, produce, and more! Submit entries for open class judging.

A crowd favorite – pony rides that create lasting memories for children.
 

3:00 PM: 4-H Dairy Show

See top-quality dairy cattle and meet the youth who raise them.
